Finally
Kings Of Tomorrow Lyrics

Time marches on never ending,
Time keeps its own time,
Here we stand at beginning,
And then goes passing us by

And I, I, I can'T dream for us all,
I hope I'm in a better state,
When here and now crumbles and falls
And you, you, you who make worlds collide

I knew you'd come knocking one day,
Unannounced like a thief in the night.

So tell me how do you do
Finally I meet you
You don't know what I've been through,
Waiting and wondering about you
I had a dream my trip would end UP at you,
And now I know paradise.

Where do we go from here,
Time ain't nothing but time,
I now have no fear of my fears
And no more tears to cry,

Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow means nothing at all
If we don't hear the line,
When today places its call, and morning, morning,
Morning won't ever be the same,
Now I won't make the same mistakes, time and time again
Time and time again

So tell me how do you do
Finally I meet you
You don't know what I've been through,
Waiting and wondering about you
I had a dream my trip would end up at you,
And now I know paradise.

So tell me how do you do
Finally I meet you
You don't know what I've been through,
Waiting and wondering about you
I had a dream my trip would end up at you,
And now I know paradise.

The way I interpret this song might be way too intense, but is this song about the coming collision between Man and God? When all things temporal pass away and man makes his way into Eternity, when humanity confronts God and God confronts man.

I say this because the lyricist uses words such as Paradise and Eternity and relies heavily on the theme of time - "time never ending/standing at the beginning/time being nothing but time" . God being the 'the Reckoner' - "you who make worlds collide" and "coming in unannounced like a thief in the night" - (a biblical expression used to explain how sudden 'the end' will come).

Then theres the theme of revelation, as in everything will make sense in the End "I've now no more fear of my fears and no more tears to cry" - another biblical theme about God wiping away mans' tears, ending grief and destroying death.

As the song goes on the writer meets God "finally I meet you" theres a lot of questions to ask. I think we all would like to ask things like, why did such and such have to happen, why did so and so have to pass away, why didn't you show up when I needed you etc - "finally I meet you, you don't know what I've been through, waiting and wondering about you" (I wondered if you even really existed!) But its almost like the writer knows all those questions won't really need to be answered because one "will know paradise".

Maybe that's way too grand but either way, its still a beautiful well written song.

just listened to this morning whilst making breakfast, didn't know the tune as it came up on suggested after playing the system but WOW. As soon as the beat stared playing through my speaker and them vocals hit me i knew this song was special. Im only 22 years old but i know a classic house tune when i hear one and i can tell you for a fact the younger generation enjoy these songs just as much as the older :)

I've DJed for over 25 years now, and this one still gives me goosebumps. One of the few tunes that could start a riot if you didn't play it a second time. Definitely in my top 5 all time classics. <3

Its not the proper version of it though is it? Who did the classic remix of it that everyone knows and loves?! The one that sounds like it has bells almost?! Much more funky. No other version can compete with that!
