They were a night club band that truly wanted more. They found their way to the USA where they picked up new members Daniel Atherton (Drums), Kevin Bassett (Rhythm guitar), Jerry Powell (Lead Guitar), Leslie Booker (Bass Guitar), Curtis Styles (Keyboards), Vincent J. Lilly (Lead Vocal)and featuring the only original member from the Nassau Bahamas group, Burnis Stubbs (Percussion).
This was the band who in 1983 released "So different" on Sound of New York Records. The band went to Canada to hone their performing skills and became Canada's finest. Known for their funky style, Kinky Foxx adapted to the rock & roll played by most of the clubs on the scene from Ottawa all the way to Halifax. They became a funk rock band penciling songs like "Want you everyday", "Sorry", "Could it Be Love", and "Let's Go Dancin'". Kinky Foxx picked up a recording deal with "Duke Street Records" in Toronto Canada, but due to bad management, lost the deal.
The band became lost in the club band scene. They lost the brotherhood once shared by all. Members began to leave and take on other projects. By the late 80's Kinky Foxx played its last tune as a band.
