He is best known for being a member of the now-disbanded JBJ, the duo LONGGUO & SHIHYUN (용국&시현), and for competing in the second season of Mnet's boy group survival show PRODUCE 101. He was eliminated in the tenth episode, ranking 21st overall.
Longguo first debuted in LONGGUO & SHIHYUN on July 2017, where he and co-member Shihyun released their first extended play, the.the.the. He went on to debut with JBJ 3 months later on October 2017, where the group released their first extended play, FANTASY. They would later release another extended play and a full-length album which consisted of all tracks from their 2 EPs and 3 new tracks, in January and April 2018 respectively. The group disbanded in April 2018.
In late May 2018, it was reported that Longguo was preparing to debut as a soloist. He is set to debut in June 2018 with the digital single "CLOVER".
