Sandy
Larry Hall Lyrics

Sandy, Sandy
Took every sweet thing like sugar and spice
Ice cream and candy, everything nice
They put it together, they gave it a name
Sandy, Sandy, I'm a fool for Sandy

Her eyes are like heaven, her lips are divine
Young love is tender, gentle and kind
And everywhere I go, there you will find
Sandy, Sandy, I'm a fool for Sandy

Took every sweet thing like sugar and spice
Ice cream and candy, everything nice
They put it together, they gave it a name
Oh Sandy, Sandy, I'm a fool for Sandy
Sandy, Sandy, Sandy
Sandy, Sandy

I'm so glad my dad's music is still appreciated. His music lives on...

Heard this song for the first time on a Sat nite oldies radio show a couple of months ago. It has since quickly became one of my favorite oldies. So smooth and refreshing. Makes me feel like I'm 17 all over again.

@RUDY DEL VECCHIO Yup. It would.

I consider this to be the PERFECT OLDIE. These comments from everyone are so nice. Between the song and comments it's enough to make a grown man cry.

Gosh,1959. I remember hearing this record on the car radio one day on our way to the beach with my mom's big 59 Caddy convertible. We had the top down and my Mom turns the radio up. She was such a cool looking mom with her Capri pants, horn rimmed sun glasses and kerchief on. We go cruising down the highway laughing and having a ball in that great summer of 1959. What a blast it was to live back then.

Call it whatever but there's no label befitting for this great stuff. Classic music like this can never be topped.

It was just "POP" back in those days. Today, it would be labeled under the genre of "OLDIES."

It's so sweet. His voice is so kind and loving. I'm very moved by it.
