From a very early age, he was known as a talented drummer, but around the age of 10, he started making beats on his dads computer and listened to artists like Kanye West. The sudden change in style happened when an american student (Cody Berkland) moved to Peder's hometown for a short while and was a great influence on him.
The music industry quickly noticed the young talent and through talentshows and concerts around the country, he started to make a name for himself. The first break happened when he performed on a the show "Lydverket" on national tv and signed with Universal Music Norway not long after that. Thing kept rolling and Lido got to be the warm-up act for artists like Snoop Dogg, Bun-B, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Clipse, Madcon and many more.
"LidoLido is the biggest talent to come out of Norway in a long time. His sound is completely current and completely original."
- Stargate
Lido is a selfproclaimed "Good Guy". His lyrics are not explit and he brings a positive point of view into a genre many people concider to be "negative". The most characteristic thing about Lido must be his musical understanding and melodic way of rapping/singing, which makes him appeal to a wide and diverse audience within all ages.
To this very day, Lido does all his own production and writing; a true one-man-band. He also does alot of remixes and production for other artists. His debut album "Pretty Girls & Grey Sweaters" is to be released on Universal Music Norway on February 3rd 2012.

Turn Up The Life
LidoLido Lyrics
Now I’ve been trying to relieve all of this tension and I’m
Spending hours trynna change my comprehension of time
So I cop another G-shock, but it don’t work
Coz I’m trynna outrun the sun, so I don’t really see it a lot, but I’m good
Round of applause, handshakes all around
And I’m breaking it down like what you really think is making the sound
We pulling strings, pizzicato
Turning tables with Timbuktu like DJ Amato
We living life so rubato
What you mean there’s no LidoLido in your damn Serato?
You need to put some there, excuse me, I'mma grab me a day now
They all about my present, like give it away, give it away, give it away now
I'm sorry, girl, I wasn’t thinking straight
Of course I want to ventilate and get up on your dinnerplate
Now let me demonstrate, when my phone stop buzzing I'mma call you
Even though I know that I told you to
Slow down, we should think this through
I can’t blow my cool messing around with you
But that was yesterday, yesterday
And girl I feel like saying yes today, yes today
I love it when the sun come up, I love it when the sun go down
I love it when the sun go down, I love it when the sun come up
I love it when the sun go down
So turn up the life, baby, turn up the life
I’m saying no to regrets and yes to the chance, baby
Give me your hand, let's step to the dance and
Yes like we triple winning, yes like we get the million
Stress exchanged for freshness, you get the feeling
Flowing through my arteries, catching every detail
How we try and we fail and retry and prevail
I used to sit around and dream of making it big
Like some magic door would appear and just change how I live
And one thing turn to the other and the other to the next
Like a rumor or a tumor I can feel in my chest
And I didn’t really know how things were gonna turn
Didn’t really think but since then I’ve learned
To enjoy every minute, not get stuck in the future or get
Caught in illusions, big plans and confusions
So now I’m just clapping my hands saying "Let's do this"
LidoLido, all my people, we got one shot, ain’t no sequel
All I’m trynna say today is I don’t think we need to
Slow down, we should think this through
I can’t blow my cool messing around with you
But that was yesterday, yesterday
And girl I feel like saying yes today, yes today
I love it when the sun come up, I love it when the sun go down
I love it when the sun go down, I love it when the sun come up
I love it when the sun go down
So turn up the life, baby, turn up the life
We living, we trying, we sinking, but man
You know we swimming, we dive in, lets get it again
We feeling, we fighting, we thinking again
Baby, we living, so turn up the life, baby, turn up the life
Though we rolling on, I need a break so slow down someone
Thought we riding high, the air is thin so I’m coming down
But only for a while, I need to punch out before the light goes (psh)
Coz every time I get up out the door my boss got my balls in a tight hold
It’s like we need to get a little on the good foot (right) need a break sometimes
You know I’m on the grind every day right (yup) I’m making moms proud, I'mma piss in a cup
What’s up LidoLido, put your weight down, get your real face on, put the fake down
Need to reach for the sky, why you stay down
It’s a game, but the homie don’t play, but
Even the beat need a break sometimes, I’m proud, make it clap for me
Even the beat need a break sometimes, so now let the guitar roll
Even the beat need a break sometimes, so now let the keys flow
Even the beat need a break sometimes, so now make it stop, okay
Feel it running up and down like a tingle in your spine, knowing everything’s good, yeah
So we flowing on the clock, coz the feeling got us hot like we knew that it would be
See us running by the miles, hop on a marathon, jump to the side
Fuck what you need to do, go for the smile, we all need to breathe so you need to just
Slow down, we should think this through
I can’t blow my cool messing around with you
But that was yesterday, yesterday
And girl I feel like saying yes today, yes today
I love it when the sun come up, I love it when the sun go down
I love it when the sun go down, I love it when the sun come up
I love it when the sun go down
So turn up the life, baby, turn up the life
Hey hey, yo mama don’t know, you just go’n go where you go’n go
Hey hey, yo papa don’t know/, you just go’n go where you go’n go
Hey hey, yo teacher don’t know, you just go’n go where you go’n go
Hey hey, yo baby don’t know, you just go’n go where you go’n go
Slow down
Slow down, we should think this through
I can’t blow my cool messing around with you
But that was yesterday, yesterday
And girl I feel like saying yes today, yes today
I love it when the sun come up, I love it when the sun go down
I love it when the sun go down, I love it when the sun come up
I love it when the sun go down
So turn up the life, baby, turn up the life
