The only known instrumental that was banned from radio, how badass is that

JJ Flash

@CometTamer The Easybeats follow-up to Friday on my Mind was titled Heaven & Hell, it was banned in many US States and I some European countries not only because a lyric says ‘find someone else in your bed’ but also because the word ‘Hell’ is in the title and in the lyrics, what a frickin ridiculous excuse for banning the song!

Boney Tony

@steamstream777 thanks for the recommendation.

Every punk, grunge, shoegaze and metal band owes their career to this song

D Perry

@Karl Dyke apart from the fact that link Ray invented the power cord and without that hard rock and heavy metal would not exist and that's a fact

kabiriazampano

so primitive, two chords gig

Eric Mork

@Colleen M Howe maybe not you directly, but I'm sure many of your influences were influenced by this

Really, it's pretty much any band that uses distorted guitars.

Just after the B7th chord at about 1:37, Link twists the tremolo knob on his amp just a touch for a faint shimmering effect to the sound. He decides that there's not quite enough tremolo over the next 20 seconds, so at 1:57, he gives the knob a full twist to get the total total effect for the rest of the song. All done live while tape is rolling--no overdubs, punch-ins or multi-tracking. Priceless.
