Dark, electric, and lyrically driven, the music of Lord Jim twists a variety of arcane influences to achieve a genre-oblivious, world-surf-post punk thing. But it's not only complicated to categorize, it's also fun.
The musical style of Lord Jim can be loosely described as similar to Joe Strummer, David Byrne, and some other artist, but it's not really. Trust Everything is Lord Jim's first studio effort. He is currently recording his next full-length album, scheduled to be released Fall 2012.
A filmmaker, visual artist and musician, Jim writes, performs and arranges all of the music of Lord Jim, and also does the recording and mixing at his studio in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lord Jim's musical influences include David Byrne, Bob Dylan, The Mermen, Joe Strummer, Celia Cruz, The Doors, Peter Gabriel, Pop Will Eat Itself, Radiohead, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Psychedelic Furs, and 1930s jazz.
