1. An acapella Madison, WI based group (active from 1997 to present(?)). Their main last.fm landing page can be found here. Their website is UWMadhatters.com and they can also be found on MySpace.
2. Madhatters (EDM) are an Edmonton (Alberta) based Rock trio pumping out seventies blues tinged style meets Seattle sensabilities. The sound is earthy and honest with a loud mischievious twinkling wink and smack to the face. (active 2009 to present).
Its members currently consist of Dan Hendrix, Lee MacDonald and Jono Fezz, with an always open door to friends to come and jam and join the music. With influences that span decades from Floyd to Sabbath, Muse to Pearl Jam and more, the wide range of influences show in the wide range of music that comes out in their songs.
Madhatters (EDM) released their first self-titled album in October 2011. The CD consists of a mix of songs from various recording sessions spanning between 2009 and 2010, with the majority consisting of an October 2010 home recording session.
Having three song writers on their new self titled disc might make you assume it would lack focus, but the tracks are able to move from one genre to another while seeming to retain a common thread; good friends and good music!
Dark songs, light songs, deep songs and straight up funny songs all find a home on this disc and with 15 tracks that's a damn good thing as it stays engaging. As the last line of the last song says, "if your gonna serve me up some rice, put some f#@& gravy on it!"
Madhatters can be found online via Facebook, ReverbNation and MySpace.
