Mass Undergoe is better than Insane Clown Posse, Milli Vanilli, and nearly … Read Full Bio ↴Mass Undergoe is better than Insane Clown Posse, Milli Vanilli, and nearly as good as Take That, thus making them arguably one of the greatest bands of all time. Let's get to the mutton (why did I just say mutton?) of the BIO: Mass Undergoe met in high school, had some lineup changes, released "Emotion Has A Thousand Sons" in 2001, recieved a Videofact Grant (CHA-CHING!) for the lead single "Lost Vacancy," and recieved medium rotation (Much Music and Much Loud) for months on the strength of touring and requests alone. They also played two idie showcases for 102.1 The Edge (Canada's largest, most bulbously veiny rock station) that was heavily enough attended, they worried about problems with the police. Then there was a lineup change, an accoustic EP in 2003 that featured renowned Canadian Gaye Delorme as a guest performer on the single " I Need You." This spawned another "successful" cross-canada tour, and by successful we mean, cold, isolated, and with only our most primordial senses of survival to get us from one location to the next. Many people attended though, so that was great. That brings us to now. More or less. Brandon Lazenby on Drums, Marino Mestrovic on Bass, Alan Calimbas on Guitar, and David Isbister on Vocals comprise Mass Undergoe today. We have new music, a new EP, and a renewed spirit, thanks to Oprah Winfrey re-runs, and our deep concern for one another as musical compadres. We are about to begin pre-production on a final set of songs for a follow up record, release date to be announced. We have cemented our writing process and are able to churn out formulaic, mindless tunes with reckless abandon, employing other types of trickery to convince you we are in fact, talented. Oh, and by "formulaic and mindless," we mean dynamic and thoughtful. Mass Undergoe is heading back out on tour again as early as early spring, so watch for us. And to clarify, the rumours that we have joined the Black Parade are completely baseless. We are, however, considering starting the Mauve Parade- a collection of elderly people dedicated to solve conflicts through the collective act of grumbling, and overly scenting their clothing with lavender. In all seriousness, we dedicate ourselves to this often frustrating and manipulative endeavour because all we want to do is play. For you.
