The band released three albums: "Spring Session M" (1982), "Rhyme & Reason" (1984) and "Color in Your Life" (1986). The band split in 1986 and the band members moved on to other projects. Warren Cuccurullo became the guitarist for Duran Duran and Dale Bozzio and Patrick O'Hearn each pursued solo careers. Terry Bozzio toured as the drummer for several rock musicians, including Steve Vai, Dweezil Zappa and Jeff Beck and later formed his own solo band.
Warren, Dale and Terry reformed Missing Persons in 2001 and performed several concerts throughout the United States. Terry Bozzio left the band in late 2001, and the band continued until 2003.
Cuccurullo and Dale Bozzio reformed Missing Persons once again in 2011 for a reunion tour.
As of 2013, Cuccurullo is no longer touring with Missing Persons. According to Dale Bozzio at the Tiki Room show in Costa Mesa, CA, Warren is suing the band for the image on their Spring Session M album. Terry Bozzio has changed drastically in appearance with much longer hair, a different colour (it used to be black) when compared to the Terry Bozzio Official page on Facebook. The keyboard player currently touring with them is Michael T. Ross who has also played with Lita Ford and Angel.

Missing Persons Lyrics
Life is so strange when you don't know
How can you tell where you're going to
You can't be sure of any situation
Something could change and then you won't know
Ask yourself
Where do we go from here
It seems so all to near
Just as far beyond as I can see
I still don't know what this all means to me
Tell yourself
I have nowhere to go
I don't know what to do
And I don't even know the time of day
I guess it doesn't matter any way
Life is so strange
Destination unknown
When you don't know
Your destination
Something could change
It's unknown
And then you won't know
Destination unknown
Life is so strange
Destination unknown
When you don't know
Your destination
Something could change
It's unknown
And then you won't know
Destination unknown
You ask yourself
When will my time come
Has it all been said and done
I know I'll leave when it's my time to go
'Til then I'll carry on with what I know
Life is so strange
Destination unknown
When you don't know
Your destination
Something could change
It's unknown
And then you won't know
Destination unknown
Life is so strange
Destination unknown
When you don't know
Your destination
And something could change
It's unknown
And then you won't know
Destination unknown
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange
Life is so strange

May I pass on a bit of wisdom to you
You don't get older. You just live through another age.
Remember your teen' age' years?
Your shoes get older.
Just know that people and animals do not become old -
They live through the ages.
It is 'THINGS' that become old.
All the best and good luck ... And teach that to others who never learned it.
Forrest George

How many of us now in our 50's(or late 40's) look back upon songs like this and realize how we took it so for granted back in that era when there were so many incredible songs/bands. . . truly feel grateful to have been in my 20's during the 80's.

@Mike Loth I made a newwave calendar in graphic arts and cut out Kim Wilde and Thompson Twins plus Duran Duran out of a magazine and pastet it to my sheet. My teacher was so mad at me. He was old school then and wanted us to have mono ideas. I used newspaper clippings for the title New Wave = New Age!
The plate came out great and I got to print it in Black Red and Blue on the printing press and gave them to my friends. Such simple times! Would love to go back.

I never left the 70s and 80s I hated the 90s and onward. I feel so out of place. If I want to explore new music I usually go backwards. I don’t even own a modern cd. I‘ll just be new wave for ever.

This is one of those songs that aged so incredibly well and sounds better with each passing year. A true classic.
