1) In 1980, Mobster released a double A-sided 7" single in the UK on the Ensign label (Simmer Down/Mobster Shuffle).
2) There is now another ska band using this name. They describe themselves thus:
Mobster has dug out golden grains from the Jamaican soil and mixed new with retro. Tropical with European, energy with passion to create the music they love: SKA.
Ska is passion! Passion for music. Passion for the jumping, stomping, skanking rhythms and sounds.The groovy bass lines and backbeat guitars. The magic horns. Music you must dance to. Mobster has raised European ska to a new level and now make this solemn promise: You’ll not be unaffected or be able to sit down when you listen to the sound of Mobster.
