Sun Doesn't Rise
Mushroomhead Lyrics

Some kind of evidence
Some kind of reason
Why I can't find a way
To begin my life

Somewhere in this dying day
If I can only find a way for my escape
I find it hard to concentrate with all my past mistakes

To begin my life

(I-i-i-i can't feel my faith, can't recall my crime
I think I sealed my fate, along the way I may have lost my mind
I guess we're all damaged in our own way, alone in our own way
Distant headlights, desolate highway
I can't feel my faith, can't recall my crime
I think I sealed my fate, along the way I may have lost my mind
I guess we're all damaged in our own way, alone in our own way
Distant headlights, desolate highway)

Sun doesn't rise at all
Who knows how far I'll fall
Sun doesn't rise at all
Who knows how far I'll fall

With eyes wide open
(Can't recall my crime, think I sealed my fate)
I can watch my world evolve
(Alone in our own way, I think I sealed my fate)
Nothing left to die for
(Can't recall my crime, I think I sealed my fate)
Thoughts inside can make me crawl
(Think I sealed my fate)
Make me drop down on my knees
Break me down until I question me
Darkness can't destroy my drive

Sun doesn't rise at all
Who knows how far I'll fall
Sun doesn't rise at all
Welcome my downfall
(Sun doesn't rise at all)

(Somewhere in this dying day, as I plan my great escape
I find it hard to concentrate while you think you control me now
Fade and falter, empty altar, all I gave I pray it makes me whole
I think the brink's around the corner
There's an error in my soul

I can't feel my faith, can't recall my crime
I think I sealed my fate, along the way I may have lost my mind
I guess we're all damaged in our own way, alone in our own way
Distant headlights, desolate highway

Sun doesn't rise at all
Who knows how far I'll fall
Sun doesn't rise at all
Who knows how far I'll fall

I can't feel my faith
Can't recall my crime
Damaged in our own way, alone in our own way
Desolate highway

I remember watching this clip on a music tv that aired only after 10pm and internet wasn't mainstream where I live. They aired this clip only ONCE! I used to stay awake for hours to find out the name of the band. After a couple of years when I had internet, I remembered one line: "Sun doesn't rise". I hit up google and searched for it. At that day, I was the happiest mf on earth.

I remember listening Sun Doesn't Rise back when I was sixteen and been a fan since then then that was 2003 I was new to the metal scene and going into goth stage but now the goth stage is over with I'm 34 now and I still listen to Mushroomhead and always will!

Flashbacks to the 7th grade while everyone snickered and laughed at me, I just sat under the tree at lunch and cranked my headphones louder to this song to drown out their worthless words. That was 2004. Even at age 31 this song still speaks to me
