and grunge. These gentlemen like to play their rock’n’roll raw, loud and dynamically, never
losing track of the swing factor. They’re not too shy when it comes to a good pop song either.
You have to see them live to hear their true sound and truly experience them as a band. They
belong on stage – it’s where all the action takes place.
New Killer Stars hit the spotlights with their first EP ‘Hebrew Matthew’. Their blend of grunge
meets rock’n’roll with hints of ‘surf’ is a great success and Coma Gun Records released the
EP in The States. Back in The Netherlands, after its release New Killer Stars wowed every
club, pub, garage, shed and venue they played, including major festivals such as Eurosonic and
De Affaire. The band’s reputation really takes off after supporting Kula Shaker and Dinosaur
Jr. and gigs with De Staat, Daily Bread and Go Back To The Zoo. Successful tours across
Germany, Belgium, Denmark and the United States see their reputation of an energetic and
swinging live band confirmed.
Fastforward to the present and their full length studio album ‘Crash Their Parties and Rob
Their Houses!’ is a fact. Recorded in the Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville – previous home
to acts such as Smashing Pumpkins and Band of Horses – and the Stainless Sound Studios in
Nashville. Mark Robertson, known for his work for The Legendary Shack Shakers, produced
the album. New Killer Stars managed to construe their multitude of influences and live
reputation into twelve catchy songs for their new album. ‘Crash Their Parties and Rob Their
Houses’ has all the ingredients for a thumping good rock’n’roll party – hard-hitting punkrock,
danceable gritty grunge and even two acoustic gems!
