It began with an entry into a nation wide dance music producers competition… Read Full Bio ↴It began with an entry into a nation wide dance music producers competition and would lead to NFX becoming on of Melbournes most respected trance live acts. A lot has happened since the night NFX, a.k.a Nick Fogarty took place on the main stage at Advent*jah in 2003 but it all Begun 1998 with a computer and a passion for dance music. It wasn't until the year 2000 that NFX thought seriously about producing music as a career. When Advent*jah called far and wide for all producers to show what they were capable of, there was no stopping him. Despite some very close competition, it was Nick's tight production, hair raising melodies and dance floor destructive beats that made "Exponential' the winning track.
People in the Melbourne Hard Dance scene soon started to take notice, there werent many live trance acts in Melbourne or even Australia and the punters were drawn to this fresh style of performance. NFX started playing regular gigs at 3D and Hard Kandy. Nick soon started picking up appearances at bigger parties like War of the Worlds, Pharmacy, GOD and Advent*jah.
NFXs tracks soon found there way to the right ears (thanks to good friends) and it wasnt long until one of Melbournes best known and longest running hard dance clubs, who were looking to start their own record label snapped him up. NFX is now signed to Hard Kandy Recordings and currently has a 4 track EP available. The title track No Go, Go For Launch was recently remixed by the Hard Trance Legends, Alex Kidd and Gaz West and is set to be available soon.
2006 is set to be another scorcher of a year of NFX and Hard Kandy Recordings, stay tuned!
