@Brian M , I just find life less bitter when I don't go around assuming the worst about other people. & if there's a judgment to be made, then surely you've gotta at least glance at available evidence, right? 🙂 That's all I did.

Instead of deciding you want to tear people down who are just living their lives & doing what they enjoy, based on only negative assumptions coming from something dark inside of you... I suggest the ol' "rejoice with those who rejoice." If people are happy, be happy with/for them.

Even if their subject of passion might not be your style, joy is universal, & should be a uniting force, not a dividing one.

Don't feed that beast that tells you to push everyone away, isolating you so it can eat you alive from the inside. Whittling you hollow. Distracting you with the fleeting satisfaction of feeling superior over others, while it tears out & devours the parts of you that actually DO make you special.

Don't keep being a blood slave of that lurid creature. Fight it. Starve it. Chase its shadowy form out by letting in light. And over time, you'll find meaning in your life, creating instead of destroying. Climbing life's mountains with your own strength, rather than by pushing others down. & you'll feel more fulfilled than that dark beast could ever make you.

(........I shouldn't post this. such cringe. much emo. so wangst. wow. ...But ehhhh.... It was a lesson I wish I'd learned a lot sooner in life. I'll take the L if it means someone in the future thinks their lives over.)

@Brian M , well, the closest thing to riches I could find, is that her younger sister married the grandson of someone who was once 2nd President in Indonesia (which COSTS her family money due to their dowry system), and that wasn't until 2018. And she's a descendent of the Austrian classical composer Johann Strauss on her father's side. Her dad gave her a guitar as a young teen, and she got so passionate about rock/metal music that she dropped out of high-school her junior year to devote her life to it. Started off sucking of course, but for not having formal lessons until around 2014, she'd still been good enough to rack up successful contributions with several bands, including recorded albums, professional wrestlers' intros, the LA KISS arena football team (yes, that KISS), Alice Cooper, etc.

To produce her own first solo album, she had to use Kickstarter for funding. Fortunately that got way above original goal, so her album Controlled Chaos got the personal treatment; she didn't just shred it & forget it. She played all guitar AND bass for it, produced the album herself, and even did most of the sound engineering. And it's pretty darn good for any artist's first in all those cases, IMO.

So yeah, while her father was into music and thus was able to teach her basic mechanic stuff, she diverged from the family's traditional line by pursuing rock & metal, was eager to shred when it had (at the time) fallen out of style (luckily it's been making a comeback in recent years), is always willing to keep learning, and kept putting herself out there despite a rough start. And despite raising enough funds to hire a bunch of professionals if she wanted to, she still opted to do all the additional technical work of album production herself, showing she has strong work ethic.

She's passionate about making music, so she does it, like any other respectable artist. Get to know her a little more, and you'd see that that's been a bigger factor for her, than whether or not one of her parents was a "rich kid."
