With a band name hijacked directly from the Monopoly board the band take their influences from the American punk rock tradition (think NOFX, Against Me! and Alkaline Trio) but still maintain a uniquely Australian perspective and sound. The result is an exciting mix of galloping rhythms, frenetic drumming and distinct vocals, delivering introspective lyrics often foreign to the punk rock genre. In November, 2006 Old Kent Road released their inquisitively titled debut EP 'What Have You Done With Your Cerebellum?'. The EP title was taken from the lyrics of the band's song "Johnny Cerebellum" which features on the EP alongside title track "A Cold and Lonely Lie" and crowd favourite "The Front Row".
