Porcupine Tree Lyrics

Train set and match spied under the blind
Shiny and contoured the railway winds
And I've heard the sound from my cousin's bed
The hiss of the train at the railway head

Always the summers are slipping away

A 60 ton angel falls to the earth
A pile of old metal, a radiant blur
Scars in the country, the summer and her

Always the summers are slipping away
Find me a way for making it stay

When I hear the engine pass
I'm kissing you wide
The hissing subsides
I'm in luck

When the evening reaches here
You're tying me up
I'm dying of love
It's OK

Her silhouette
Painted on that clouded glass-
The crimson scarlet eve
Left a scar on me and the train window-forever.
The summer that was once warm,
And her hug Everytime she said goodbye...---
It's so cold,
The shiny platform
Playing stones with her
~the train
Vibrated more in decibels,
In these broken strings of my heart;
Reflected the red-hot sun
And I miss,
Her and the warmth of summer!
.... It was summer,
A cobbled memory
Of her, trains and scarlet bloody stains
on the rail.
It's fades,
The train
Yet the memory of you,
Still remains.

~love son.!!!

A long time ago I met a girl in my hometown and started to like her, but I figured she didn't like me so I just let it go. Years later we moved to different cities in opposite directions and I started to talk to her again and discovered she's such a wonderful person; that gave me even more reasons to like her and I fell in love, so I stood up and told her. Turns out she liked me too from the beginning, and now it just so happens that we're coming back to our hometown in a holiday, so we arranged for me to pick her up at the train station. I can't wait to hear the engine pass and kiss her wide! This song makes me feel so light and secure about it. Thank you Porcupine Tree for this masterpiece, and thank you Luiza for being such an awesome girl.

People will come and go but it's memories like that we hang onto when we get older.
