1.) Robert Diaz (September 17, 1975 ā June 9, 2015), better known as Pumpkinhead, was a rap artist who hails from Brooklyn, New York. He has released several albums to critical acclaim, is widely regarded among the underground scene as a great rhyme writer and freestyler, yet has thus far been unable to achieve mainstream success. He first became famous in 1998 with the release of the 12" single "Dynamic," which featured a backwards beat and Pumpkinhead's trademark nasty punchlines delivered in a deep bass vocal tone. The single charted in College Music Journal but as would become symptomatic of his entire career the larger mainstream audience failed to pick up on it. A remix which reversed the reverse beat and featured a plethora of rap contemporaries soon followed, and Pumpkinhead continued to release underground singles. In 2003 Pumpkinhead tried to capitalize with the "Beautiful Mind" EP, again receiving praise for his work but little mainstream exposure. 2006 may finally be Pumpkinhead's breakthrough year as his new album Orange Moon Over Brooklyn has received the widest exposure and distribution of any album to date, with a rerelease scheduled for October 3, 2006.
2.) Pumpkinhead was also a hard rock/metal band from New Zealand. Rhythm section: JASON PETERS and VAUGHAN WATSON; Singer: BRENT MILLIGAN; Guitarist: AARON HOGG. Pumpkinhead released the album Sloth on Wildside Records in 1995. They played a reunion gig at the Southern Amp festival in their hometown of Christchurch in 2007.
3.) Pumpkinhead was Thom Moore (main songwriter, vocal, guitar), Kathy Moore (vocals & autoharp), Sandi Epping (vocals, mandolin & fiddle), and Rick Epping (Harmonica, Jew's Harp, Tin Whistle & Concertina). Together they produced music that was a mix of traditional Irish, pop and folk. Thom would later work with Midnight Well.
