R Angels were one of the many girl groups to emerge in the late 1990's/earl… Read Full Bio ↴R Angels were one of the many girl groups to emerge in the late 1990's/early 2000's, amidst The Spice Girls' success. Signed to Motown Records and made up of four young women named Gina, Vonnie, Dorothy & Lian, they released two singles, "I Need To Know" & "Left To Right", the former appearing on the soundtrack to the feauture film Stuart Little. Both singles were unsuccessful and their album never saw a proper release (although at one time pressings were available in seemingly random spots such as the Columbia House Music Club and can now be easily found at Amazon.com), and they soon split.
A couple of years later Dorothy and Lian auditioned for PopStars 2 (U.S.). Dorothy made it to the final group known as Scene 23. They were also unsuccessful and split after a short time.
Currently Vonnie fronts the metal band Fountain Of Tears, and the whereabouts of the other three women is unknown.
