Reflecting Me was founded by Gergely Bossányi (bass) and Márton Bencze (vocals) in the autumn of 2002. First they've joined forces with Lorinc Bubnó and Márton Auer (both guitars) from the band that is now called 'The Rorschach' - formerly Memoria Mortis. The original idea was to play only Katatonia songs just for the fun of it, and to pay hommage to one of their most honoured band. After that a drummer has been found by the band, Máté Büki. The first shows were greatly successful among the hungarian fans of Katatonia, but as time passed on, the band decided to write their own songs, so the tribute band slowly started to become a real band. The initial sound of the band was of course closely related to Katatonia's, but they've integrated a lot of ideas into their music, making it more unique. After a few years, Lorinc Bubnó and Márton Auer had left the band because of their duties with their main band, Memoria Mortis. So the number of the crew lowered to three, and because of that they started to search for a new guitar player. In 2004 Gábor Bartos joined the band, but after a few months, he had to quit, so the band was forced to find a solution once again. So Márton decided to handle the vocals and the guitar simultaneously, Gergely remained as a guitarist and Máté as a drummer. Finally, in 2006, Attila 'Indián' Dinnyés got on board, and with this lineup, they are continuing to write exciting materials for all kinds of listeners. In 2007, they've made a lot of gigs around Hungary, and recorded a demo material, which led to the recording of a new EP, which will be out soon, around May 2008. So stay tuned, and see you around!
