On the 12th of February, 2012 Rev 16:8 announced that they have stopped. This is their original message:
As of February 2012, REV 16:8 as a band is no more.
The reason for the decision is solely personal, and the decision is mutual for the people involved.
The recording session that would have taken place in June at Endarker Studio has been cancelled and no more recordings will be done from this band in the future.

Its name is a reference to Revelation 16:8: "The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire."
