Blackbird Singing
Rosalyn Sweat & The Paragons Lyrics

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise,
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Hi Gavin, you're probably right about boss baby and this song. I just think its nice that reggae is just more loved by the world nowadays. Compared to when i first heard this song nearly 50 yrs ago. The reggae blackbirds really sang into the night years ago, because popular media probably only regarded it as a short term fringe. But they didn't account that "happy making music" is eternal. And that future generations would have more liberated outlook in the future/now. *
