@Rafiuski As I said, after statements from the Odyssey team, Valhalla in the present reports with Layla, confirms that Kassandra is the canonical character of Odyssey.

For Eivor 3 things:

- Eivor is a Norse female name

- The canonical scenario is to let the Animus choose our sex, the team confirmed this and in this case we play only female Eivor and the male one when we play Odin, which is logical: Odin is a man.

- The side books of Valhalla have for heroine Eivor female

What feelings were you trying to inspire and evoke with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Main Theme?

Sarah Schachner: We wanted the atmosphere of the theme to instantly transport the listener to another time and place, filled with mystery and uncertainty. There are Norse instruments, but they are used in a more modern way. The theme represents Eivor’s journey, as well as the Vikings’ hope for a better life as they move further south into the Anglo-Saxon regions [of England].

Jesper Kyd: We wanted to evoke Eivor's journey, what drives her, and the bond she has with her family. Eivor is searching for something, and this longing to find it and resolve it is a key element reflected in the melody and mood ideas I contributed to the theme.

Einar Selvik: The hope was to make something that reflected or created an overall arc of the theme of the game. The game is set in such dramatic times, and so the emotional aspect of it is something I wanted to elevate with my contributions. Generally, I think it made a lot of sense to bring all the game´s composers together for such a central piece, allowing the song to further reflect the different expressions the players will encounter throughout the game.

@Half cut onion Dude, they literally explain the reason for that. In Odyssey, they got DNA from the Spear but it had both Alexios and Kassandra's DNA on it because they both used it in their lives. Eivor was a female but was a descendant of Odin who was male. If you choose the male then you're just choosing to play as Eivor with Odin's appearance. If you choose the female then you're playing with what the character actually looks like. Just because it's something you don't like doesnt mean it's lazy writing. Because I would love to see you write anything better or come up with material for a franchise this long.

@BlueSkullX The fable situation also sucked, so I dont see why you mention it here, they clearly put more effort in the female perspective.

say whatever you want about ubisoft they often nail the story and they always nail the music

@TimoPlays Odyssey gets a bum rap, but I think it was exhilarating playing in Elysium, then Hell, then Atlantis. Odyssey had a fairly confusing overall narrative, but it was just a blast to play.

Yeah, when music and cinematics came, Ubisoft is on top. While their games were not always best, but they definily nail in music and cinematics.

Odyssey was really bad but Valhalla made up for it
