Chicken City seems to be their only album, recorded live at Lost Dog Studios at Flagstaff on 05-Dec 2001 and 05-Mar 2002, and the members blew off in the wind to form other great string groups.
The Chicken City phase of Second Harvest's existence included:
Zander Brown on mandolin and vocals. He went off to play in groups Bluegrass Militia, Coldwater, and others He writes a few of the tracks, including "Waffle House Woman", "Succulent", and "Bug".
Brian DeMarco playing guitar, harmonica and vocals. He continues with a solo career (briandemarcomusic.com). He wrote the tracks "Several Years", "Rollin'", "No. 9", and "Lonesome Blues"
Clay McClinton also on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Flagstaff was a stop-off on the path to his current successful career. He lent his tune "Far Too Long" to this album, as well as "Jeremiah", and "Please Come Home".
James McIntyre is on upright bass.
And the forever lovely Kristin Straka plays fiddle and lends her sweet vocals to a few of the tracks. She is a Flagstaff star lending brightness to other groups like Mars Hillbillies and Voluntary String Band and many others. She wrote the track "Walkin' Out", which she has also recorded elsewhere.
Second Harvest might not be around any longer but the players play on.
