Nash Didan is the neo-Aramaic dialect spoken by "Kurdish" Jews (who didn't really speak Kurdish when they lived in Kurdistand and thus shouldn't really be called "Kurdish") . Some of the Kurdish Jews came to Israel from the region of Kurdistan in Turkey, others in Iraq, Iran and Syria.

So "Turkish" Jews are mostly by heritage descendants of expelled Sephardic Jews from Spain who arrived in what is now Turkey after 1492 and who spoke Ladino/Djudezmo (Jewish--Spanish dialect), although before the Jews from Spain arrived in Turkey after 1492, they were mostly Greek-Jewish dialect-speaking (Romaniotes). When the
Sephardic Jews arrived in Anatolia (where most of modern-day Turkey is) from Spain they overwhelmed the local Greek-speaking Romaniote Jews and absorbed the Romaniote Jews into them and passed on their Spanish-Jewish culture to the following generations. So the exceptions to the Sephardic (Ladino-speaking) Jewish community in Turkey were the "Kurdish" Jews who spoke "Nash Didan" /Aramaic, the "Urfalim" Jews, who
lived in Urfa/Edessa, and also spoke a dialect of Aramaic (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and the Jews who lived in and around Gaziantep (there's still a small Jewish community exising there, if I'm not mistaken) who spoke Arabic and were more closely related to the Syrian Jews in Aleppo, which isn't that far away across the Syrian border, and which is getting totally destroyed unfortunately in the Syrian War.

Nowadays the Jews who remain in Turkey have become much more assimilated and all
generally speak Turkish as their prime language, but that wasn't true a
couple of generations ago.

The girl at 8:54 had mentioned that she don't like our mentality. We do not like this. I mean speaking so "claimfull" about other without know anything or fact.

First Muslims don not hate other religious because we beliave they sent by the god before Islam to teach humans so being disrespectfull to a religion is also means disrespecting Islam for us. Anyone who does it probably is not so religious so no need to make example about those kind of people like "aa he/she is muslim and what she says/does"

Second In Turkey, We don't give any damn about others' religion or ethnity unless we are provoked. We have nothing against Israel'i people.Beliave it or not. But we see Israel( goverment itself) fund terrorism in the region and their media blind their citizen ( just like ours). That pisses us.

People always see all the wars Ottoman's had. When we won we are barbarics, when we lost we are removed ahahah but they never see good things Ottomans did or bad things they did. This is fucking bullshit.

Turkish people today are very have a bad mental condition because our internal politics that corrupted by the west yet we always try show our welcoming side towards foreigners regardless religion. Our history have very influential good thing about middle- east, north africa, eastern and central europa but people don't appericite it instead they disrespect us. So under this circumcenses it would be naive expect us to stand silent even we are known already hot headed people. We don't deserve this kind of attitude.

I am a Turkish Jew and I am perfectly fine and happy being in Istanbul, Turkey. The Ottomans really never exiled Jews, they protected us.

@Hzur9887 no The Ottomans and The Karamanids were not ' just the same ' they really were not ..

For example : The Karamanids : respectively had CHRISTIAN BYZANTINE KNIGHTS fighting alongside them in their armies , and they could generally just accept people from every religion or whatsoever , and that , my friend , that is the Typical Jewish Mindset , probably taken over from their ancestors the Khazars , who also lived in the regions where the Karamanids originally came from and settled ( The Khazars were a Jewish semi nomadic people ) .
while :
The Ottomans : had ENSLAVED EUROPEAN CHRISTIANS and they had those ' enslaved ' people fighting FOR THEM in their armies .
now that ? That is an entirely different thing my friend , and an entirely different approach of treating people , and i want you to just think about that for a second now .
Take care .

My parents came to Israel (made aliyah) from Turkey in the 90's, although they are jewish they are really connected to the Turkish people. they taught me some Turkish and I listen to Turkish music all the time! Like baris manco erkin koray and even more modern stuff like altin gun. We visit Turkey frequently and I don't mind saying there that I'm Jewish, sometimes people make faces, but most of the time no one cares as long as you can communicate in Turkish they will treat you as a Turk.

You have roots from Turkey, you speaking Turkish and you are for us a Turk. There are Christian, Atheist or Muslims Turks, no one cares if you are saying I‘m Turkish you are one of us and my request to you is to demonstrate your Turkishness in Israel instead of speaking ladino and only using 2 words of Turkish this Turkish Jews in this video hurt my feelings. We have to show people that politics are not the same as the people, Turkeys political view is very mixed.

I don’t know what’s going on in the comments but I’m Turkish and I love my Jewish brothers and sisters. I can distinguish Jews from the government of Israel and I know that politics in EVERY country is inhuman and cruel.. that’s how politics works so stop blaming people for their government.
