Mask
Soman Lyrics
My mask
My filter
My defense
My faith
Insurance
Against indifference
Ignorance and hate
Shelter
Protection
My sanity
At stake
Exclusion
Redundance
Negotiation and debate
My mask
My filter
My defense
My faith
Insurance
Against indifference
Ignorance and hate
Shelter
Protection
My sanity
At stake
Blind to a mindless society
Death to a mindless society
Numb to a mindless society
Dead to a mindless society

Never thought an +10 year old Soman song would make an accurate social commentary for today.

@Spin'glass Hydra That's an answer and a half I was not expecting. Thank you for your thoughtful response. All I can say is that you raise some really good points and put like that, yeah I can entirely see how a relatively lyricless project can still have sociopolitical roots and can resonate with social movements borne from underground subcultures (Who have often been ahead of the curve with such things).
Have a great day yourself ^^

@Neakal Sure, I understand your thinking 100% The progenitors of all Industrial/EBM derived from "Einstrürzende Neubauten", which was, a completely political psycho-social advent. Its aim was to striking back at the Global Corporate Industrial Complex's: unnecessary and wasteful methodologies; there industrial greed; along with globalist industrial pollution; as well as, raising the awareness level through, those of us who are willing to take a stand. Remember, as history has proven, time and time again, social movements are usually accompanied by music movements.
Einstrürzende Neubauten didn't have any lyrics, while exploding cars, beating on used oil drums, while maintaining the music's rhythm by grinding on anything, just to find the right sound. Ultimately, transferring these "sounds" to their synthesizer's. Originally, there was virtually, minimal to absolutely no -- lyrics -- it's an inherently dangerous ideology, which "Industrial Music/EBM" certain imbedded, sociological interventions "in" this music's heritage.
Perhaps more affirmation was uncovered by the Covid-19 pandemic, as the governments response had faltered and an assembly of Ultra-Right Wing Zealots, assembled by "storming" the United States Capitol Building, as other global countries watched in disbelief. As apart of an Underground-Subculture, we don't tolerate "willful stupidity" or accept those actions from those who, "profit by faining ignorance" to understand the damage they've create.
So, in short, to your comment -- yes. Our Underground-Subculture does tend to pride ourselves by our level of intelligence and progressive thinking. I hope that you understand what I'm speaking about.
Have a great day.

@Spin'glass Hydra I mean, sure. But not what I expected from a mostly-lyricless dance music project that, unlike many other industrial acts, doesn't even pretend to indulge in sociopolitical commentary.

You would be surprised at how many "old songs" are especially relevant today.
