Punk Rock Princess
Something Corporate Lyrics

Maybe when the room is empty
Maybe when the bottle's full
Maybe when the door gets broke down
Love can break in

And maybe when I'm done with thinking
Maybe you can think me whole
Maybe when I'm done with endings
This can begin
This can begin
This can begin

If you could be my punk rock princess
I would be your garage band king
You could tell me why you just don't fit in
And how you're gonna be something

Maybe when your hair gets darker
Maybe when your eyes get wide
Maybe when the walls are smaller
There will be more space

And maybe when I'm not so tired
Maybe you can step inside
Maybe when I look for things
That I can't replace
I can't replace
I can't replace

If you could be my punk rock princess
I would be your garage band king
You could tell me why you just don't fit in
And how you're gonna be something

If I could be your first real heartache
I would do it over again
If you could be my punk rock princess
I would be your heroine

Well, I never thought you'd last
I never dreamed you would
You watch your life go past
You wonder if you should

If you should be my punk rock princess
I would be your garage band king
You could tell me why you just don't fit in
And how you're gonna be something

If I could be your first real heartache
I would do it over again
If you could be my punk rock princess
I would be your heroine

Whoa, you know
You only burn my bridges
Whoa, you know
You just can't let it sink in

You could be my heroine
You could be my heroine

This can begin, this can begin
This can begin.

I cant replace, I cant replace
I cant replace.

If you could be my punk rock princess,

If I could be your first real heartache,

I never thought you'd last,
I never dream you would.
You watch your life go past,
You wonder if you should.

If you should be my punk rock princess,
So I could be your garage band king.
You could tell me why you just don't fit in,
And how you're gonna be something.

If I could be your first real heartache,
I would do it over again.
If you could be my punk rock princess,
I would be your heroine.

Whoa! you know!
You only burn my bridges
Whoa! you know!
You just cant let it sink in!
You could be my heroine,

1995 - 2005 was the prime years for these perfect pop songs that came out of nowhere and vanished just as quickly as our youth did.

Tad

I was 11 years old in 1995.

yeah people are trying to revive it, but they just don't have that magic that that era had, because I guess back then it was new and fresh.

Holden Dude 1995 and further on to 2005 was awesome but As an Early millennial who lived through all of it I miss the music of my EARLY child hood EVEN MORE and was Born in 1986 and so I would say the FIRST half of the 90s was even BETTER.

I'm 31 now, but still feel like that 12 year old rocking out to this in my room lol.

I think its a really sweet song especially since music is such a huge thing for me. Love songs haha. It's definately one of the ones I come back to sometimes.
thing is though that when it comes to women and music honest I have highly eclecitc taste so there's a lot of flexibility and adaptabiliy in that department. Punk rock works but so would just outright goth....

have options. is all...
I like both? and even others?

but I get this one on gut level because it's like I know how it feels pretty intimiately to just not fit in... so someone like he's describing like ...I'd be all ears... Turns out that I might have made some mistakes as a kid but they were blown out of porportion and even as I learned to treat people kinder they just never really did seem to acnknowledge the change in character. Like they thought they had me nailed down character wise and my reputation was not well so they just treated me like shit even though I learned to stop giving them shit.. . ike they just taught me that once people think they know you they will not let you become a better person in their eyes.
