It comprised of 3 seasons each made up of 26 episodes. The first series followed an original storyline, detailing Sonic and his friend's arrival on Earth, the second season of the series featured adaptations of video games Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Battle, and the third series went back to an original storyline detailing a battle against an enemy called The Metarex. It was animated and produced in 2003 in Japan by TMS Entertainment with the partnership of Sega and the Sonic Team.
