Sea O' Colors) are a fictional pop idol duo from Nintendo’s video game series Splatoon, consisting of the characters Callie and Marie (Japanese: アオリ Aori and ホタル Hotaru) . Despite the duo’s name, the characters are actually cousins, not sisters.
In the first Splatoon game, they hosted Inkopolis News, introducing current stages and updates, as well as hosting limited-time Splatfest events. The two are also involved in the series’ single-player campaigns, as they are secretly Agent 1 and Agent 2 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon.
Callie is voiced by Japanese model, singer, and voice actress Yuki Mizutani, known by the pseudonym keity.pop. Marie is voiced by Japanese singer and voice actress Mari Kikuma. Squid Sisters songs are composed by composer Shiho Fujii, as well as Splatoon series sound director and lead composer Toru Minegishi.
The Squid Sisters have done various real-life virtual concert performances, primarily for Japanese audiences, featuring hologram projections of Callie and Marie.
