Stan Getz & Charlie Byrd Lyrics

Se você disser que eu desafino, amor
Saiba que isso em mim provoca imensa dor
Só privilegiados têm ouvido igual ao seu
Eu possuo apenas o que Deus me deu

No fundo do peito bate calado
Que no peito dos desafinados
também bate um coração

The first record I bought for myself... in '62

My first jazz album....some 50+ years ago...And I still love it!

Frank Theawaken

I discoverd the album Compact Jazz and this was the first tune of the album in 1993 when I went to AudioCenter in Montreal to buy a sound system and I asked the clerk: ''I wonder if an expensive sound sytem makes the difference.'' So the clerk installed me in the show room with his bang & olufsen sound system with klipsch speakers and put that cd inside... It was like if Stan was in that show room. I bought the cd and am still listening to it. More than a 1000 timeshave I listened to it. do I repeat playing Desafinado... YEAH!

franguccio1 good music never gets old

Grew up with this album and many others. My dad played jazz guitar. Hated it back then. Love it now. Brings back great memories

Googley Eyed

Very nostalgic for me as a freshman in high school when my mother, a music lover, bought this album. I listened to it over and over again myself, intrigued by the unusual rhythms and the combined sound of Stan Getz’s sax and Charlie Byrd’s guitar. Still love hearing it after all these decades.

Best version of the song

This is what I loved when in Grad School and later in flight School at Pensacola

Drew Hunkins

One of the catchiest melodies of all-time. I remember when I first got into this CD around the mid-1990s (I know, I'm young) I couldn't get this song out of my head. I still occasionally find myself quietly humming this terrific song as I'm going about my day.
