Oh Sherrie
Steve Perry Lyrics

You should've been gone
Knowing how I made you feel
And I should've been gone
After all your words of steel
Oh I must've been a dreamer (must've been a dreamer, oh)
And I must've been someone else (someone else)
And we should've been over (over by now)

Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on
Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on

But I want to let go
You'll go on hurtin' me
You'd be better off alone
If I'm not who you thought I'd be

But you know that there's a fever
Oh, that you'll never find nowhere else
Can't you feel it burnin', on and on

Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on
Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on
Oh Sherrie

But I should've been gone
Long ago, far away
And you should've been gone
Now I know just why you stay

Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on
Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on

Oh Sherrie, our love
Holds on, holds on

Hold on, oh Sherrie

Does anybody else realize that we grew up with the greatest music in the world?

Francisco Lacebal

I'm glad I was born actually....

Brian Williams

@Sheryl Ellingson try Smith and kotzen, The Dust Coda, and when rivers meet! Then tell me it's crap?

Brian Williams

@Connie Ad I agree but 2021 has some great music, Smith and kotzen, the dust coda and when rivers meet, to name but three new bands! ✌️🤘😉

Brian Williams

And the crappiest! Remember Joe dolce, wham , spice girls? Were they the greatest music??✌️🤘😉

Pompeo Derubeis

We did...Think about the singers...Steve, Darryl Hall, Prince, MJ, George Michael, Kevin Cronin, Dennis DeLong, Lou Graham, Lionel Richie. Heart, Mickey Thomas, Russell Hitchcock, Rick Springfield...the list goes on and on...The perfect nexus of late 70s singers hitting their stride along with such a crop of amazing 80s singers...we got to the late 80s...say 88 or so and all that hair band crap ended the greatest era of music of all time.
