Stick In A Pot is the moniker behind which singer/ songwriter Piers Blewett peeks out from behind. originally a bedroom side project to his band, Brighton's grunge behemoths 'Nothing' (who split in 2006), Stick In A Pot has now grown to absorb a number of musicians along the way. The current line-up also consists of Alex Hay (Meow Meows, Oom), Adam Whittles (Annie Jump Kannon, Fragile Creatures), Tom Woerndl (Kindelan), and original collaborator Richard Joy.
Previous live incarnations have included, in the UK (2006 - 2008), Tom Patterson (Nothing, APATDBF), Paul Mackintosh (Disney Walters Build Gates) and Adam Wright (Steve & The Ghost). In Melbourne, Australia (2007-2008); James Hynes (RIP!!! Rides) and in Hanoi, Vietnam; Dom Blewett.
During this time in Melbourne, Piers recorded the 5 track EP 'When the Monsters Arrive' which was released by Sad Sentry Records in August 2009.
The first Stick In A Pot album 'A Number More Than Nothing At All' was released on Sad Sentry Records in 2011.
Stick In A Pot are currently working on the as yet unnamed follow up, pencilled in for release sometime in 2013.
