Sublime with Rome
Sublime with Rome is a collaboration between Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh of Sublime and Rome Ramirez. Vocalist and guitarist Rome Ramirez joined Wilson and Gaugh to perform classic material and eventually originals. It became clear that Ramirez could not replace Sublime's late lead singer and guitarist, Bradley Nowell, who died in 1996 but legally, he would simply be "featured with" former Sublime members.
Sublime with Rome performed their first gig together in February 2009 near Gaugh's home in Nevada Read Full BioSublime with Rome is a collaboration between Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh of Sublime and Rome Ramirez. Sublime with Rome performed their first gig together in February 2009 near Gaugh's home in Nevada, followed by an appearance at Cypress Hill's Smokeout Festival in San Bernadino that October. On April 20, 2010, the band embarked on their first-ever US tour with dates going into that fall. After positive reaction on the road, Sublime with Rome released a debut album on Fueled By Ramen records in July 2011.
In December 2011, Bud Gaugh revealed in an interview that he would be leaving Sublime With Rome and KROQ's Accoustic Christmas would be his last show. He saying he wanted to go home and spend more time with his family. He later went on to say "It was really good for the first few months, after that, it just felt wrong. Not playing the songs but playing them with the name Sublime, without Brad." When asked if he saw the band reuniting in the future Gaugh replied "No, I am done with SWR. I would be into playing music with Eric Wilson, however." He was replaced by Josh Freese.

Take It or Leave It
Sublime with Rome Lyrics
She's got a knack for hurting me
Is it the words she says
The only thing that keeps me here
Are her eyes in the morning
Oh, I've packed my things a thousand times, oh-ho-oh
And I've faked believe all her lies, for the last time
The other day I drew myself a map
So I could figure out your head
The canvass dripped with my sweat, blood and tears
And she hated every thread
Oh, I've packed my things a thousand times, oh-ho-oh
And I've faked believe all her lies, for the last time
Take it or leave it
'Cause I'm really leaving
I've purchased my ticket to New York
First thing in the morning
Kissing you good morning
And whispering goodbye
Take it or leave it
'Cause I'm really leaving
I've made up my mind this time
There's no coming back for you
Oh, there's no coming back for you
Told her no purse was more important
Than the knowledge in her head
She grabbed her shit just like a baby
I couldn't believe the words she said
The only thing I ever see her read
Are those damn gossip magazines
They feed her head with all that nonsense, yeah
So she can fit in with the scene
Oh, I've packed my things a thousand times, oh-ho-oh
And I've faked believe all her lies, for the last time
Take it or leave it
'Cause I'm really leaving
I've purchased my ticket to New York
First thing in the morning
Kissing you good morning
And whispering goodbye
Take it or leave it
'Cause I'm really leaving
I've made up my mind this time
There's no coming back for you
Oh, there's no coming back for you. oh no
And I am always feeling incomplete
She smothered herself with her own beauty
And she was born and raised as daddy's princess
But her gesture is no match for an heiress
Yeah her gesture is no match for an heiress
'Cause I try to love you, try to hold on to
The feeling that makes me fall for you
Oh, the feeling that makes me fall
Take it or leave it now
Take it or leave it
'Cause I'm really leaving
I've purchased my ticket to New York
First thing in the morning
Kissing you good morning
And whispering goodbye
'Cause I try to love you, try to hold on to
The feeling that makes me fall for you, oh
That makes me fall for you
Take it or leave it
'Cause I'm really leaving
I've purchased my ticket to New York
First thing in the morning
Kissing you good morning
And whispering goodbye
'Cause I try to love you, try to hold on to
The feeling that makes me fall for you
Oh, the feeling that makes me fall
Makes me fall for you

Sublime wasn't just Brad, guys. It included Bud and Eric. Where would Sublime have been without Bud and Eric? They have they right to their own fucking band. Let them do what they will. Besides, it's not like they call it Sublime in one word. They are just trying to continue the Sublime legacy. Rome is not Sublime. He is not Brad Nowell reincarnated. That's why it's called Sublime, WITH Rome. It's a collab act.
I've cried over Brad's death, guys. I'm happy to see that the remaining band wants to keep what Brad started.

So they have the right to spit on his wishes and steal what didn't belong to them? Even Bud said it was wrong and regretted it. That the others were more interested in partying with toothless, craigslist hookers.... so yeah they have a right to their OWN band not other peoples' bands.
Michael Hickstein
This whole controversy is only strengthening their legacy. Older people have the “this isnt Sublime” argument and have a chance to explain why Sublime (with Brad) was so great. It teaches the younger generation of Sublime. Alot of people, including myself, love both and appreciate both. Rome paid tribute the entire time to Brad.
For Bud and Eric... after Bradley died, what were they going to do? Be in a band each of their own and just forget about Sublime? The fact that we are still bringing it up keeps the legend of Sublime... well.. LEGENDARY!
Just enjoy music! Personal feelings aside... and just ENJOY!

Trust 1st time i heard they was gone start playing again i was hype then heard him sing an no better fit than rome close ya eyes an listen u hear bradly threw him tho with his own style

+Cameron James Agreed. But they're actually called S. With Rome because of a legal problem with Brad's parents in the use of the "original" name only by itself.

+Ian Mcdowell i aint bias and rome sucks with sublime. yeah he can sing but he dosent fit sublime at all.
