Nang ganyan sa 'kin
Wag mo akong kulitin
Wag mo akong tanungin
Dahil katulad mo
Ako rin ay nagbago
Di na tayo katulad ng dati
Kay bilis ng sandali
O kay tagal din kitang minahal
O kay tagal din kitang minahal
Kung iisipin mo
'Di naman dati ganito
Teka muna teka lang
Kailan tayo nailang
Kung iisipin mo
'Di naman dati ganito
Kay bilis kasi ng buhay
Pati tayo natangay
O kay tagal din kitang minahal
O kay tagal din kitang minahal oh
Tinatawag kita
Sinusuyo kita
'Di mo man marinig
'Di mo man madama
O kay tagal din kitang mamahalin
O kay tagal din kitang mamahalin
O mamahalin (o kay tagal din kitang mamahalin)
O mamahalin mamahalin (o kay tagal din kitang mamahalin)
The lyrics to Sugarfree's song Burn-out express the feeling of a relationship that has changed over time. The first stanza is a plea for the other person to stop looking at the singer in that way, to stop bothering and questioning them. The singer acknowledges that they have changed too, that they are no longer the same as they were in the past. Time has flown by so quickly, and the second stanza reflects on that reality. The singer reflects on how long they have loved this person for, and how long they will continue to love them for.
The chorus repeats the sentiment of loving the person for a long time. The singer is calling out to them, reaching out to be loved back, but cannot seem to get through to them. The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the depth of the singer's love and the longevity of their affection. The bridge "tinatawag kita, sinusuyo kita, 'di mo man marinig, 'di mo man madama" is an expression of the singer's continued devotion to the person, but also an acknowledgment that the other person may not reciprocate those feelings.
Overall, the lyrics to Sugarfree's Burn-out convey a sense of nostalgia and longing for a relationship that has changed over time. The singer is struggling to come to terms with the changes that have occurred, but still holds on to the hope that their love will endure.
