At times upbeat and at other times somber, the peaceful nature of his songs flows as a waterfall gently streaming or a quiet winter storm. This is the kind of music that has come from Sven's core since he was a child.
Sven Sundberg began playing piano at a young age, and for a while was a student of John Steinway (of Steinway Pianos) in Phoenix, Arizona. Sven was encouraged by his family, particularly his grandfather who played brilliantly. His first musical instrument was a green organ he received for Christmas when he was 5 years old. When the organ was damaged, the family bought an upright piano.
When older Sven traded the piano for saxophone lessons to join the school band, but he still longed to play piano. After childhood, Sven wouldn't have the opportunity to own a piano again for a couple decades when he purchased a Yamaha keyboard. He picked up the piano again as if he had owned one his whole life! It was then that he wrote his first instrumental song, a song called "It's Time," which was inspired by an Australian advertisement with the same name promoting marriage equality.
Since then, Sven has written dozens of instrumental songs and released CDs of some of these songs. "It's Time" was released in January, 2012, and a second CD entitled "Barefoot" was released in February, 2012. A third CD is planned for an April 3 release.
You can find "It's Time" and "Barefoot" virtually everywhere on the internet where music is heard and sold, such as Amazon, iTunes, Rhapsody, MySpace Music, eMusic and CD Baby.
