They had been existing as a trio of Oleg (vocals/guitar), Pavel (flute) and Roman (contrabass) until 1999 when the latter was replaced by violincellist Andrey. After appearing on some folk compilations, they finally managed to release their debut album Time When Poets Taught Angels To Love in 2003, recorded six years before, and out only on cassettes. As all the members have musical education, the music makes its presence felt: calm, wonderfully composed and played, atmospheric and romantic. These guys are of a great talent and quite innovative (as for Russian bands), and thus are really worth a listen. A splendid effort.
