They're primarily considered rock with jazz, reggae, and classical influences peppered throughout their music. Known for creating a very "big" sound with only piano (Jeff Allen), drums (Brad Mason) and vocals (Mark Hand), their compositions are all very different, but retain a specific sound.
Members, Mark Hand and Brad Mason have played together in numerous projects since 2001 including progressive rock group The Wire Jungle, indie rock band C+ Average, math rock trio Kyle, and reggae/ska band Slamline.
The 30 Tyrants completed their first full length Album Apology in 2009. Along with this album there are numerous tracks recorded live or not recorded at all. The 30 Tyrants ended in a slow taper. Other projects from these artists will arise soon.
