In 2005, The Adams released their self-titled debut album, featuring the singles "Konservatif" and "Waiting," both of which were also featured in the hit movie Janji Joni. Later in the year, Beni left to focus on his duties as drummer for The Upstairs, while Bimo moved to Bali to continue his studies. Karon ’N Roll guitarist Arfan (or Apoy) was drafted as bassist, Gigih Suryoprayogo Setiadi (alias Kiting) of It’s Different Class took over Bimo’s place behind the drumkit, and live keyboardist Retiara Haswidya Nasution (a.k.a Kaka) was promoted to full-time member.
In 2006, The Adams’ new line-up released v2.05, which expanded their old sound with more elaborate song structures and swirling five-part harmonies. With the hit singles "Halo Beni," "Hanya Kau" and "Selamat Pagi Juwita" and their electrifying live shows, The Adams have become one of Indonesia’s most exciting bands.
After a long hiatus in 2008 to work on other projects, The Adams are now back and ready to make more music and reconnect with their fans who have been awaiting their return.

Dengan kostummu yang berkilau
Dan angin sedang kencang-kencang berhembus
Di Jakarta
Dan aku 'kan berada di teras rumahmu
Saat air engkau suguhkan
Dan kita bicara tentang apa saja
Siang lambat laun telah menjadi malam
Dan kini telah gelas ketiga
Jam sembilan malam aku pulang
Dan aku 'kan berada di teras rumahmu
Saat air engkau suguhkan
Dan kita bicara tentang apa saja
Di Jakarta
Siang lambat laun telah menjadi malam
Dan kini telah gelas ketiga
Jam sembilan malam aku pulang
The song "Konservatif" by The Adams speaks about a person witnessing their loved one sitting alone wearing a sparkling costume while the wind is blowing strongly in Jakarta. The singer then talks about being on the terrace of their loved one's house, drinking a glass of water while talking about anything and everything under the sun. The afternoon slowly turns into the night, and with the third glass of water, it is already nine at night, and it is time to go back home.
The song paints a picture of a casual yet intimate conversation that two people have, just enjoying each other's company, without any specific topic or agenda to discuss. It highlights the beauty of simplicity in relationships and cherishing the moments spent in each other's company, something that is often forgotten in today's fast-paced world. The song also touches upon the idea of conservatism that is prevalent in society, where people are expected to behave or act a certain way.
