The Carters Lyrics

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Stack my money fast and go (fast, fast, go)
Fast like a Lambo (skrrt, skrrt, skrrt)

Crowd better savor (crowd goin' ape, hey)
I can't believe we made it (this is what we made, made)
This is what we're thankful for (this is what we thank, thank)
I can't believe we made it (this a different angle)
Have you ever seen the crowd goin' apeshit? Rah!

Gimme my check, put some respeck on my check
Or pay me in equity, pay me in equity
Or watch me reverse out the debt (skrrt)

Got me so lit, I need Tylenol (Tylenol)
All of my people, I free 'em all (free 'em all)
Hop in the whip, wanna see the stars
Sendin' the missiles off, drinkin' my inhibitions off

My body make Jigga go kneel
Man, my momma, my Lord, my shield
Look at my jewelry, I'm lethal (lethal)
These diamonds on me, they see-through (see-through)

@Sam Doe The justice system, the healthcare system, housing, education, voting, media, reparations, etc.

Justice- The police literally started as a group of people that went out to capture slaves. That eventually turned into the policing system we have today. It was all built from slavery. From this past year you should be able to tell that police brutality is a huge problem. I don’t think I have to explain this much further. ( That’s not even going into incarceration rates and private owned prisons)

2) All minorities don’t really have the same access to healthcare as white people do. Even when we do, it’s not to the same standard. Black women are much more likely to die during childbirth than white women. Doctors assume black people have a higher pain tolerance than white people do, because of this they don’t properly treat us. And we also have stereotypes that come with us when we go to get treated. For example, and black physician died last year during Covid. Despite the fact she was a physician and told them she had Covid, they didn’t give her much treatment because they thought she was on drugs. In her final hours she posted her story and what had happened to her. It blew up on TikTok and Instagram. Despite all of it, she’s now gone because doctors assumed she was on drugs. These things happen not only to black people, but to all minorities in this country. Our lives are valued in this country and because of that, they don’t care about them.

Housing- Redlining. This is way bigger than I can explain in a YouTube comment, so I hope you do your own research. However, redlining is a way that white people separated black people from whites, even after segregation. Basically they would tell us we couldn’t move to certain places. Lets say there’s town A and town B. Black people want to move to town A, but there’s some white people there. Because of this, they won’t be allowed to move there. Because of this they go to town B. Town B is MUCH smaller than town A and it’s not as safe. Town A has rich, fertile soil, clean water, and tons of resources; whereas, Town B doesn’t have any of that. Town A is obviously going to thrive and town B is obviously going to be poor and run down. Not to mention the state is going to refurbish Town A a lot more than Town B. Town A will have better roads, buildings, etc.

Education- Education ties directly with housing. Because Town A was so much better, it’s more expensive to live there. The people that do have to pay more taxes. Those taxes go to the schools in Town A. The better the town is, the better the schools are. The can afford the best desks, textbooks, etc. Kids that grow up there will have a great education and have a much higher chance of going to college, getting a degree, getting a good job, and be able to retire early. However, in town B, it’s worse. The land it’s on is more dangerous, it’s much smaller, and it doesn’t have the same resources as Town A. Because of this, it’s very inexpensive to live there. Because of that, the taxes are lower and the schools don’t get funded nearly as much. Their classrooms are falling apart and they don’t even have textbooks. They can’t learn nearly as much. This hurts their chances of going into college, living stably, and eventually retiring. This creates a cycle of poverty. Also, most schools don’t teach any of this. People grow up thinking that all racism ended as soon as the civil war did which is far from true. To this day you have Congressmen attempting to make laws prohibiting teaching this.

Voting-This past election should have shown you how much we have to voter suppression. The greatest form would be gerrymandering. This also ties in with the housing analogy. Town A is much bigger than Town B. Town A may take up 5 counties while town B takes up only 1. When it’s time to vote, that creates problems. Let’s say there was an election. All the white people live in Town A and all the Black people live in Town B. Because all of the white people are spread out across the state, they’ll get more votes. The black people won’t. Because they weren’t even allowed to spread out, they’re all in one tiny county. No matter how many of them there are, the white people are in more counties and will get more votes. They can put/keep anyone they want into office and they can keep these racist systems in place. Because of the fact that it’s hard to break the cycle of poverty, like I said in education, Black people will have to stay in Town B and their votes still won’t be counted as fairly

Media- Media has been a big problem for Black people. From Blackface to caricatures, to zoos, Black people have had to constantly face white peoples perception of them. While there isn’t blatant racism, like blackface, in our shows/movies today, there are still extremely racist classics and there still is racism in modern television. Let’s used Dumbo for example. In the movie there is literally a character named Jim Crow. I don’t think I have to explain why that’s bad. There’s Pocahontas (which romanticizes what happened to her. She was constantly raped, beaten, and tortured by white people but Disney made it seem like nothing wrong happened. They even made the fact that she was forced to go to Europe look like an “adventure”), Peter Pan (They showed the Indigenous people in Neverland sitting around and smoking. That’s a huge stereotype for them. They also made their skin red, which is the equivalent to blackface for them. Lastly they made Tiger Lily chase after Peter Pan. That’s another big stereotype for them), and many many more. Despite that they were made a long time ago, they’re still huge movies that most people have seen. Therefore, the stereotypes are still perpetuated. There also racism in tv today. They used characters that are poc and portray stereotypes. There’s tons of this, especially in kids shows (Like Jessie, Phineas and Ferb, and Good luck Charlie, etc.). When shows, namely the ones targeted at children, have racism in them, it makes those kids believe that it’s true.

Reparations- When black people were first released from enslavement, we quite literally had nothing. No home, jobs, education, etc. You’d think that the government would support is in some way, but they didn’t. In fact they paid the slave owners compensation for losing their “property”. We had to do everything ourselves, and we did. We build up the terrible things, like Town B, that they gave us. We started HBCUs, our own economy, businesses, etc. Whole this wasn’t enough to get the majority of us out of poverty, it did allow us to survive. However most of those things never stayed for very long. Our towns specifically were targeted and white people destroyed everything we built. The biggest example is Tulsa, aka Black Wall Street. It was a great, rich, and wealthy town that we built ourselves. We thrived there. However, white people destroyed it exactly 100 years ago. Hundreds of homes were destroyed, Dozen of businesses were ruined, and Thousands died. Even when we thrived on our own, white people still destroyed it. Now that we’re in a better time, we deserve reparations. For everything we’ve had to endure. However most feel like Black people are being greedy.

Those are most of the the big ones, but that doesn’t even begin to cover all of it. However, this took me an while to write, and my hands hurt. Just a few final points to leave you off with.

•Do your own research on these things. It’ll be much better than just hearing it from some random guy on YouTube. Educate yourself.

•Don’t call us Blacks. It’s disrespectful and racist.

• When you said nobody could answer what system specifically is systemically racist, there’s a reason for that. All of the systems I named go much deep than I wrote. System racism cannot just be boiled down to a short answer. Those people obviously didn’t want to get into all of it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
