The Connells Lyrics

Got no reason for comin' to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
And the same voice comin' to me like it's all slowin' down
And believe me

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five

It's not easy
Nothin' to say 'cause it's already said
It's never easy
When I look on in your eyes then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on in your eyes then I'll do better

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five
Givin' me more and I'll define
'Cause you're really only after seventy-four, seventy-five

Got no reason for comin' to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
When I look on in your eyes then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on in your eyes then I'll do better

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five
Givin' me more and I'll define
'Cause you're really only after seventy-four, seventy-five

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five
Givin' me more and I'll define
'Cause you're really only after seventy-four, seventy-five

Got no reason for coming to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
And the same voice
Comin' to me like it's all slowin' down
And believe me
I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after
Seventy-four, seventy-five
It's not easy
Nothin' to say 'cause it's already said
It's never easy
When I look on in your eyes
Then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on in your eyes
Then I'll do better
I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after
Seventy-four, seventy-five
Giving me more and I'll defy
'Cause you're really only after
Seventy-four, seventy-five
Got no reason for comin' to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
When I look on in your eyes
Then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on in your eyes
Then I'll do better
I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after
Seventy-four, seventy-five
Giving me more and I'll defy
'Cause you're really only after
Seventy-four, seventy-five
I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after
Seventy-four, seventy-five
Giving me more and I'll defy

cool story bro! enjoy these moments!.....i´ve never watched my parents hugging or kissing each other.........thats one of to much sad stories in our "rich economies"

my path to this song:
my father made a video from building our house 20 years ago and used this song as soundtrack.....

my advice to the people, who understood my message or had sometimes very depressing days because of psylogical illness:

plz never fall to deep in sad memorys of your childhood or else
plz respect yourself, your mind, your body, your life....forget the bad days...work for the good days.....try to enjoy your life with your own interests, and plz remember / or / find your intereset......plz never life your live for other peoples.....i know you are such a clever person and your fault is to thought to much about thinks or events or else which can disappoint you...........

you are not alone! be alife! for yourself!

P.S.: sorry for my bad englisch and off topic theme.....im drunken and I want to remember all readers: DONT FORGET MENTAL ILLNESS like depression or else.....watch your family, watch your mades....and watch yourself........dont wait till the saddest part of your life

It's special when songs about nostalgia themselves become nostalgic.

Lennart Hagen

Pumpkins 1979 is another nostalgia song!

scruffythebug

Meta-nostalgia indeed. And where are they now?

james Gibbon

Quite profound
