Material for what would become the debut release Change was started as a side project by TFP vocalist Jon D. while playing in the Orange County based pop/rock group Bare Foot Bride.
Change was released later that year; It was self produced, the sound was moody, electronic, and subdued.
The band's lineup was starting to fill out when The Future Process added to the line-up on keyboard, Miami native, Melissa (Riotgurl), a veteran of the SoFla music scene.
Following a contest win at the local university, The Future Process was booked every weekend, and Change was being well received in both Europe and the US.
In 2008 the video for New Machine was finished; it has now been seen on 6 continents.
After two years playing bars, theaters, contests, and festivals in south/central Florida, and going through half a dozen players, it was time for a change of scenery.
Hoping to find a more vibrant creative environment, and better access to touring circuits, in 2009 the band relocated to Austin Texas.
In 2009, while playing the Austin texas scene Sex Babylon America was unleashed.
The band now had a more aggressive almost punk sound, and the single Jonny Dethwish became a instant hit with local fans and club goers.
In addition to being self produced, SBA was created start to finish by the band themselves.
The band traded members again through 2010 and in December the Single Pyramid was released.
Like Sex Babylon America, the creation of this release employed no external producers, engineers, or artists.
Pyramid marked a departure from the dominance of electronics in their music, which is now guitar heavy, and shows the influence of popular rock music.
The Future Process is an independent trailblazer in the world of falling giants.
