They're the product of one mama (Annabel) out of four different fathers! After playing in different bands like Batmobile and Thundermug, they decided to re-unite the family and formed The Gecko Brothers. The choice of which kind of music they we're gonna play was easy because they all shared the love for that good old loud Rawk & Roll music.
One of their first shows was so loud that after two songs the boys in blue payed the club a visit to check out what the hell was going on! During this moment, the rest of the visitors (a bunch of bikers) from the club already ran outside covering their ears with their hands. The only one left inside was this sixty-year-old, deaf bastard who was shaking his ass (a not too pleasant sight we might add!) to the sound of the beat.
In 2003, they hooked up with Drunkabilly Records to release their debut album titled "Stop Bitchin' Start Drinkin". They camped in The Void studio in Eindhoven Rock City for 8 days to work with Pieter Kloos. This is the guy who also worked with Peter Pan Speedrock, The Spades and many more.
The brothers saw that they where on the right track and started to play their asses off. They shared the stage with bands like Peter Pan Speedrock, Turbo Ac's, Milwaukee Wildmen, The Riots, 69 Charger, Fury 161, Mad Sin, River Boat Gamblers, Zeke, Horrorpops, Nashville Pussy, El Quapo Stuntteam, Cosmic Psychos, Batmobile and Speedball Jr., just to name just a few.
In 2005 they recorded and released their second album "Demolition of the Rehabilitation" also on Drunkabilly Records. This album received good reviews in the music magazines and on the internetzines.
Still with Eric Haamers (known from the famous Dutch psychobilly band Batmobile) and crazy Mo on vocals, the Gecko Brothers bring you Speedrock-n-roll with a true bad Motörhead attitude!!
Meanwhile the vinyl version of the 1st album is almost sold out and both the CD's are running quite well too. They are also looking for a new booking agency, so if you're interested don't hesitade to contact them.
