She had it all figured out (had it all figured out)
Well I'll state something rash
She had the most amazing smile.
I bet you didn't expect that
She made me change my ways (she made me change my ways)
With eyes like a sunset, baby
And legs that went on for days
I'm falling in love
But it's falling apart
I need to find my way back to the start
When we were in love
Things were better than they are
Let me back into
Into your arms.
Into your arms.
She made her way to the bar
I tried to talk to her
But she seemed so far (she seemed so far)
Out of my league
I had to find a way to get her next to me
I'm falling in love
But it's falling apart
I need to find my way back to the start
When we were in love
Things were better than they are
Let me back into
Into your arms.
Into your arms.
Oh she's slipping away
I always reach when I'm thinking of words to say
Oh the things she does
Make it seem like love
Just a game (just a game)
And I like the way that we play
I'm falling in love
But it's falling apart.
I need to find my way back to the start
I need to find my way back to the start
When we were in love
Things were better than they are
Let me back into
Into your arms
Into your arms.
Into your arms.
Into your arms
The Maine's song "Into Your Arms" is a heartfelt plea for the singer's beloved to take him back after a tumultuous time in their relationship. The song begins by introducing a new girl in town, who the singer quickly falls in love with. Despite her initial unapproachability, he is enamored by her amazing smile, sunset-colored eyes, and long legs. However, as their relationship progresses, it seems to be falling apart, and the singer is desperate to go back to the beginning when they were in love.
The lyrics suggest that the singer may have made mistakes in the relationship, remarking that the girl "made [him] change [his] ways." He realizes that the relationship is slipping away and expresses his frustration at being unable to find the right words to say. However, he also sings about the joy he finds in playing games with the girl he loves. Ultimately, the song is a plea to be brought back into the loved one's arms to recapture the happiness they shared at the beginning of their relationship.
