The backbone of the band's catalogue consists of seven main albums (Gods Own Medicine, Children, Carved in Sand, Masque, Neverland, Blue, Aura and God Is A Bullet) with several complementing albums, compilations and other miscellaneous releases also in existence.
The Mission attracted a faithful following band of fans, known a 'Eskimos'. Gigs typically had an energetic mosh pit (prior to the term being coined) sustained by a lot of Eskimos.
Other bandmembers:
Mark Gemini Thwaite (guitar, 1992-1996, 1999-2000, 2006-2008)
Andy Cousin (bass, 1992-1996)
Rik Carter (keyboards, 1992-1998)
Scott Garrett (drums, 1999-2002)
Rob Holliday (guitar, 2001-2005)
Richard Vernon (bass, 2002-2008)
Richard Beesley (drums, 2002)
Steve Spring (drums, 2003-2008)
In October 2007, Wayne Hussey announced the band would split after a series of early 2008 concerts at Shepherds Bush Empire in London.
In 2010, it was announced that The Mission would reform to perform at the Sinners Day Festival in Belgium on Halloween, 2011.

The Mission Lyrics
There's a crystal view from my window
And I can see years to come
I live for the burn and the sting of pleasure
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun
I can tear down the walls, storm them barricades
Run to the place where the frightened crawl
Desire lurks beyond good and evil
So dance on the graves where the hammer falls
[Chorus:]
Over this land
All over this wasteland
Over this land
All over this wasteland
You can touch, but please keep your distance
You're innocent and pure and with no shame
The spirit is willing, and the flesh is great
Your teasing your torment with the pleasure of pain
[(Chorus:]
Heaven and Hell, I know them well
But I haven't yet made my choice
I'm feeling dead 'cause I'm shouting loud
And NO ONE can hear my voice
Walking the tightwire, can't look down
Strung out high, above you all
Faithful wind blows through this land
Howls my name, Hell is my fall.
(chorus)
(spooky music)

Wayne Hussey used to live a few miles away from me and drank in a few of the local pubs. 12 Dec 86 I got married and was staying at the Saunton Sands Hotel in Devon England. A helicopter came in and we were chating to the pilot and cameraman who told us they were doing a pop video in the sand dunes on the beach the next day. After a while the producer comes into the bar with all the banners and starts asking us what we though about the ideas for the video. Next Wayne and the band arrive and start having a drink. Someone must have told him we'd just got married and as we were sat with them in the bar Wayne went out and came back in with a large bottle of champagne and congratulated us and presented the champagne to us on behalf of The Mission. They shot the video beach segments the next day and left but the weather closed in and the chopper guys couldn't get away. They'd done a several 007 films and stunt flying and were really nice guys.
