I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing
The New Seekers Lyrics

I'd like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow white turtle doves

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company

I'd like to see the world for once
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace through out the land
(That's the song I hear)

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony

I'd like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow white turtle doves

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company

I'd like to see the world for once
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace through out the land
(That's the song I hear)

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony, that's the song I hear

Christ this brings back so many memories.
Back in 1973-4 3XY Radio Melbourne, Australia had toured the New Seekers during School Holidays.
Back
then in a copy of the Partridge Family bus, it would go all around
Melbourne Beaches for free entertainment also free handouts and drinks
etc.
I used to ride my 10-speed racer to almost all of their concerts.
just I think I missed only the faraway concerts like the peninsula and Geelong. Everyone started to know me by name and looks.
Gee
only if I could turn back time these were the days I loved bike riding
and this was the few years in my early life that was best. hardly ever
now do we see stuff like this of today. today is all about the $$$ back
then yes some was about money but most were promoting talent and Radio
station's

3XY was the best of all then 3KZ

I remember this song was used for a Coca-Cola ad.. when I was little.
Fell in love with it immediately. Nice to hear it again. Thanks for posting.

@American Citizen i loved it when an advert and proper song.....blimey where has that time gone??????..

American Citizen

Actually it was the other way around. It was a jingle written for Coca Cola ad that became so popular it was rewritten into a song. I guess this was one of the first music videos!

A wonderful era of magic and innocence.Where everybody was thin and beautiful and full of hope and optimism. The harmonies are spot on in this wonderful, uplifting song.
