Mainly notable as being Roy Montgomery's first band, as well as the first record from the influential Flying Nun label (1981's Ambivalence 7"). Only released a few (long out of print) singles before breaking up, all collected on a self-titled retrospective compilation released in 1997.
Ross Humphries later played with members of The Clean in The Great Unwashed, as well as Bailter Space and The Terminals, while Peter Stapleton later played in A Handful of Dust (with Alastair Galbraith and The Dead C's Bruce Russell), Scorched Earth Policy, and The Terminals. Montgomery and Stapleton played together again by 1990, with Kim Pieters and Janine Stagg, in Dadamah.
Singles:
"Ambivalence" (1981) #36 NZ
"Coat" (1981) #38 NZ
