Heaven's On Fire
The Radio Dept. Lyrics

When I look at you, heaven's on fire
I wish I didn't know you better, but it's pointless
One look at you, and heaven's on fire

When I look at you, I reach for a piano wire
Fighting to keep it together, but it's pointless
One look at you and heaven's on fire,
Heaven's on fire

It seems like everyone is on your side
We're outnumbered by those who take no pride
In constantly moving against the tide
Charlatans just out of reach and out of time

I'm a little like you,
Ugly on the inside
But while I dive into the gritty
You just stand by
When I look at you
Heaven's on fire
Heaven's on fire

It seems like everyone is on your side
We're outnumbered by those who take no pride
In constantly moving against the tide
Charlatans just out of reach and out of time"

INTRO
Thurston Moore (sample)
"People see rock and roll as, as youth culture, and when youth culture becomes monopolised by big business, what are the youth to do? Do you, do you have any idea?
I think we should destroy the bogus capitalist process that is destroying youth culture."

Always found it ironic that an advertisement plays before this video.

lol Thurston is just a pretentious arse... This quote is just him trying to sound smart.

"The climate is changing so what are we to do? Well I say we DESTROY what's making it change"

"People are dying on the streets so what are we to do? I say we DESTROY whatever's causing this!"

Please Thurston...

The lyrics to their songs are usually sophomoric. It's the kind of poetry you would read from an educated high school junior who is going through typical teenaged rough patches. However, the reason why these songs work is because they are so musically talented and they have a strong understanding of why we love music in the first place. That's why this band is one of my favorites of all time.

Completely agree: Pet Grief is a masterpiece
