Gloria
The Shadows of Knight Lyrics

Like to tell you 'bout my baby
You know she comes round
Just 'bout five feet four
From her head to the ground
Well she comes around here
Just about midnight
She makes me feel so good Lord
Makes me feel alright.

Her name is G-L-O-R-I-A
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria... [etc]

Yeah, she comes around here
Just about midnight
Makes me feel so good Lord
Makes me feel alright
Walkin' down my street
Comes up to my house
She knocks upon me door
Makes me feel alright.

Her name is G-L-O-R-I-A
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria... [etc]

In Chicago in the sixties, if you were in a garage band, you did two songs: Louie Louie and Gloria.

The best version of this song. It reminds me of the movie, "The Outsiders".

Albert Hill

I totally agree. I love the band Them, but in my opinion, The Shadows of Knight's version of "Gloria" is the best. It has that "garage band" sound and reminds me of "The Outsiders" too, even though Them's version was used in the film.

Mikael Spetkas

They're both as good in different ways. I like the drums at the end of this but I like the congas at the end of Them's version.
