The band was formed in St. Louis in 1992 with Walt Winston, who was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 26, 1964, Chris Noblin the bassist, was born in 1973, and Scott Eastabrook the drummer was born in 1974. This lineup recorded two albums titled, "Knock At My Door" in 1994, and then in 2007 in St. Louis, the original lineup recorded the "Psychedelic Folk" album. This St. Louis lineup of The Waltltes disbanded in 1995 and are still good friends after their reunion in 2007. In 2000, there was a California lineup of the band when Walt Winston reformed the band with drummer Pat Shout and guitarist Rick Lenatra. This lineup practiced and played together for two shows in the same day in October of 2001 in Salinas, and in Greenfield, California. After the Greenfield performance, Lenatra was sacked and was replaced with James Vincent who became the Lead Guitarist and Walt Winston decided he would play bass and the band's popularity skyrocketed using most of the original material Walt Winston wrote in his days in St. Louis. The California lineup recorded 4 singles together and recorded their live concert at the Salinas Valley Fair which was filmed by James Vincent's wife. This lineup of The Waltles disbanded in 2002. After the Fab Three disbanded, Walt Winston went back to being a solo performer and his solo career took off with him writing 60 Top Ten singles on the internet on www.mp3.com and www.betarecords.com, and 45 of those Top Ten Singles hit #1.
