Bad Girl
The Zakary Thaks Lyrics

You, you, you
Do you know that bad girls go to hell?
A silent conversation passes through the world
A million voices who are never really heard
A thousand reasons why our self esteem can't stand
A million women let it slip right through their hands
Don't show me anger 'cos your attitudes could change
That glass ceiling should be radically erased
I'm trying to show you that as friends we'd get along
Respect my body 'cos that's where you came from
This is not a love song
This is not a love song
This is not a love song
This is not a love song
Oh, you gotta be a bad girl in this world
And you've got to make waves
Gotta be a bad girl to be heard
Assent your wicked ways
Gotta be a bad girl in this world
And you've got to make waves
Gotta be a bad girl to be heard
And that's what I say
It's just on loan to you it's my identity
I'd love to love you if you give it back to me
Don't criticize me 'cause I know it's overdue
I've learned my lessons well by following your moves
This is not a love song
This is not a love song
This is not a love song
This is not a love song
Oh, you gotta be a bad girl in this world
And you've got to make waves
Oh, you gotta be a bad girl in this world
And that's what I say, and that's what I say
This is not a love song
(This is not a love song)
This is not a love song
(This is not a love song)
This is not a love song
(This is not a love song)
This is not a love song
(This is not a love song)
This is not a love song
(This is not a love song)
This is not a love song
(This is not a love song)

My grandpa Stanley on the drums what a technique he had, fast and loose. Rock in peace

Your Grandpa was a badass!

I saw your grandfather Stan Moore play that song several times. Once I saw the Thaks play Bad Girl in a local Corpus TV studio. They were miming the performance as the record was being played on air - not them. The thing that amazed me was Stan Moore. He faked playing all those drum fills. It looked like he was really playing yet he hardly made a sound. Some may so - so what? First of all it's hard to do that especially if you are an energetic performer like Stan. Then - why did he worry about not making any noise? Not sure but perhaps it was to not distract Chris who had to fake sing that track.  Stan was a monster on drums for that period.

I got to meet some of them and talk to them. Great band with lots of energy.

Best Punk Rock sounding snare of All Time!!!!

Steve

With Bad Girl, Grandpa Stanley played on one of the best garage band tracks of all time. Probably the greatest in my opinion. He lives on!

LYRICS! World fell in, I’m washed ashore, Going through a rotten floor. Lovin’ thoughts just start to fade, Of the love I tried to make. Mutability was bad, Muted ears thought I was glad. Stab she left has yet to heal, Oh me, oh my, the pain I feel. CHORUS Perspiration starts to run, Thoughts of love are almost done. Go to bed, my thoughts are deep, Fall into a heavy sleep. Tomorrow is another day, Find another girl someway. Until I do that name remains, That name will come again, again.
